Wara d-drammi li nkitbu fi
tmiem is-sittin u l-bidu tas-sebgħinijiet ġew id-drammi tad-Disgħinijiet
u l-bidu tal-2000. Dawn kienu kważi kollha għal palk u bosta
minnhom jidhru hawn taħt. Kien hemm ukoll xogħol għat-televiżjoni li
għadhu m'huwiex
ippubblikati, inkluża adattazzjoni ta' Għasfur taċ-Ċomb,
pilot għal serje televiżiva Skart, u xi xogħlijiet oħra.
Il-biċċa kbira tax-xogħlijiet
huma f'vena realistika, ambjentati b'ruħhom u ġisimhom f'Malta
kontemporanja. L-aspett soċjali huwa predominanti, mhux intenzjonalment,
imma riżultat ta' awtomatiżmu li min jikteb jifhem u jagħraf li għandu
jiġi rrispettat.

My
newer plays are
those that were written after I returned to Malta from the USA in 1991,
after an absence of some 17 years. All plays are strongly linked to
contemporary Maltese society, more an automatic response than wilfull
intent.
"Għasfur taċ-Ċomb" (1993) was the first published play and had
in fact been draughted before I left Malta. It can therefore be
seen as bridging the gap between the early work and the
more recent, "mature" plays. The most recently published and produced
play is "IL-Festa bil-Bandieri" (1999) which focuses on the turn of the
millennium Malta. "Pawlu Redux" was also written in 1999. These last two
plays (the former staged at the National Theatre) have won the book
award for Drama in 2002 and 2004 respectively.
Other works during the past ten years include works for televsion, an
adapation of Għasfur taċ-Ċomb, a pilot (Skart), and other work
in progress.
